A few months ago, a website I visited was doing a sort of hunt. You had to find certain characters, click on them and then see if you won a prize. It was a pretty clever marketing tactic, as all of the images would appear on product description pages. As soon as you clicked on the image, it would disappear from the page, and a pop-up window would appear, letting you know if you won or not.
How do those things work? Is it random? Is there some sort of method to it?
