Is there a name the technique of having buttons that organize your content by section?

I have seen this in a few different templates sites. For example: there is a list of photos in a photographer's portfolio, they are divided into the sections, "Commissioned, Commercial, Personal, and All." By clicking one of these, the content is organized to display only that section.

Forgive me if I'm not explaining it well, how would one go about coding this, is it called something specific?
