New user/ELI5: Placed image breaks alignment. Help?

I'm trying to teach myself a bit of design and I'm having trouble placing an image without breaking the alignment in my navbar.

On the left side I have a catchphrase, and on the right I have links to various sections. I want to place a logo on the far left, beside my catch phrase. I can place the logo to the right of my catch phrase without breaking the alignment with my links, or I can place it on the left and have it break. I can't seem to figure out how to place it on the left and not have it break.
