My story:
I signed up for a contract with an advertising company that puts coupons on the back of grocery store receipts. It was only AFTER I signed up that I found their 1.5 star yelp page. Stupid of me, I know - but I was following the advice of someone in my industry who later admitted to me he didn't even track his advertising and didn't even know where his customers were coming from. So I was locked in to a year contract for $223 a month. After 6 months without a single sale before I refused to pay and eventually ended up giving their attorney $500 to tear up my contract. After doing my research it's clear that this company doesn't help anyone and basically just leeches off of small business owners. I couldn't find a single positive review anywhere online that didn't look fake.
I want to create a website that is a Wordpress site which has a collection of real reviews from customers I will ask people to write. I am concerned that they might try and sue me.
If I register a domain with private registration is there anyway for them to figure out who I am? If so is there anyway to pay for hosting / domains anonymously without giving them my real name?
I really want my site to be in the top four search results for their company but don't want to have to deal with threats and lawyers.
Epic visual tool
