I'm a linux/unix geek myself. I'm on OS X, but I still miss my good old linux days. Sadly there's not decent graphic software available, so I'm kinda forced to stick to Macs.
So far, Adobe had the monopoly on the market, but a fairly new project called Affinity can be a real competition and alternative. They are targeting professional designers, however, their software runs on Macs only. If the devs would be open to the idea to port it to Linux, would you be interested? After all, Linux is a decent OS, far more stable than Windows.
