Best way to learn JavaScript?

I have been learning the fundamentals of web design for about 3 years now. I feel very confident in html and Css. I even have a decent understanding of pho. But I still struggle with one of the 3 key fundamentals, JavaScript.

Does anyone have any good recommendations of websites or video series that is the best way to learn JavaScript. I have a basic understanding but I can't really write my own scripts or anything that is of use for a website.
