I do basically front-end and still haven't grasped how the download process of a simple webpage works, can somebody help please?
So after the browser sends the requests to the server all the HTML is downloaded, and then the text appears on screen, then all the external links like css in the head and the document are downloaded, then the html stuff gets styled with the css, then the remaining images and script of the body are downloaded.
I know I'm probably wrong, please correct me.
I've read that if you inline the css in your HTML the page is painted when the HTML is downloaded, is that true? I'm talking about this.
Thanks to whoever will explain this. Any good resource I can read about the topic?
